About the Program
The Wealth Able Giving Foundation serves as the District of Washington, D.C.’s coordinating agency for adult education and literacy programs. Funding Information
The foundation expects to award multi-year funding to up to ten qualified providers, collectively serving more than 1,000 residents each year.
- Each awardee will receive equal funding to support 100+ adult learners.
- Funding amounts will range from $500,000 (at $5,000 per learner) to $680,000 (at $6,800 per learner) annually.
Grant Period: July 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026
Eligibility
Applicants must demonstrate effectiveness in providing adult education activities. Eligible providers include:
- Local education agencies
- Community-based organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Volunteer literacy groups
- Colleges and universities
- Libraries
- Public housing authorities
- Nonprofits with capacity for adult education and literacy programs
- Other organizations with relevant experience
- Consortia of agencies, organizations, or institutions
- Employer-partnership models with qualified entities
Review Categories
Applications will be evaluated on:
- Project details (mission, goals, needs statement)
- Program design
- Instructional and student assessment methods
- Fiscal management and accountability
Funding will prioritize Integrated Education and Training (IE&T) programs, including:
- Adult education and literacy services
- Workforce preparation activities
- Job training
- Digital literacy and technology skills
- Supportive services
- Transition support for individuals facing barriers to employment
Grants are contingent on funds received from the U.S. Department of Education, the District of Washington City Council, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
2026 Prevention Grant – Utah
The Utah County Health Department (UCHD) is seeking proposals for projects that address risk factors linked to youth use of e-cigarettes, marijuana, and other substances.

About the Program
Substance abuse remains a major public health concern, with early initiation during adolescence strongly linked to long-term misuse and disorders. The Wealth Able Giving Foundation is committed to partnering with coalitions and organizations in Utah County to prevent these outcomes by focusing on risk and protective factors identified in the Utah Student Health and Risk Prevention (SHARP) Statewide Survey.
Funding Information
Grant awards will typically range between $25,000 and $100,000 per project.
Eligibility
Applicants must be one of the following:
- A coalition of community organizations focused on youth substance abuse prevention
- A local government agency (including law enforcement) in Utah County
- A local education agency within Utah County
Applicants must demonstrate how their projects will:
- Address SHARP-identified risk and protective factors
- Implement CADCA’s seven prevention strategies
- Utilize evidence-based or CDC-recognized best practices
Additional Requirements:
All applicants must reside within Utah County
Coalitions must submit meeting minutes from the prior year
Applicants working with partners must provide letters of support confirming commitment and collaboration
